Lightwell is a solar-sail-powered orbital shipbuilding colony which hunkers down behind the magnetic fields of the nearest planet to Lux, tiny Coronis. Back when Earth still ruled this system, the facility was constructed secretly and built the original rebel fleet that started the Interstellar War.

In the fifty years since the people of Lux violently cut ties with Earth, the original vision for this utopian project—a small-scale, Dyson-inspired, solar-sail net structure to power the whole system—vanished like smoke in the wind.
