At this point I really just have to hope Dems can do better with Harris or someone else. Biden really dropped the ball at the debate, he lost everyone's confidence because of his age and that was never going to recover
We generally treat our elderly politicians better in Canada. John Diefenbaker, a former Prime Minister, was a constant presence in Parliament from the 1930s right up until he died in 1979 (and he'd just been elected to another term before that!).
Well yeah not everyone literally, but I think for the majority of people who lost confidence in him, it was due to his age being put under a microscope over his debate performance.
That party has no backbone.

People lost confidence in Diefenbaker, but it had nothing to do with his age...
Fortunately for him, when he was PM (1957-1963) televised debates weren't the seeming necessity they are now.
